The girl behind the blog // Awesome & Awkward {2}

Once in a while it's really fun to play around with the camera taking selfies, with a sister to help you! I needed some new portraits anyway. :) These seemed to turn out pretty good, if I do say so myself. I need some more practice though....

Hi, I'm Danielle~ The girl behind this blog. It's so wonderful to have you here! :)

Awesome:

~ There's nothing quite like cantering on the back of a horse with the warm breeze and beautiful sunshine all around, through a forested trail... ♥♥♥

~ The road trip that we took to look at my sister's flight school and visit some friends.  I love road trips anyway, but we had an especially wonderful time visiting and playing music together! And I have a fun photo shoot to share with you all, of my beautiful friend Sarah. :)

~ When my Daddy tells me my singing is beautiful, and that he loves to hear it. ♥

~ For my summer project, I'll be decorating my room...and I am SO excited to pull everything together. It will be gorgeous when I'm done. And just for y'all, I'll be doing some posts here on the blog of before and after. It'll be great! :-)

~ And I am totally enjoying iced coffee. There's an art to making coffee just right.

~ Currently listening to: The Master's Call, by Marty Robbins. Reminds me of 'Ghost Riders in The Sky.' This song is pretty great too~ gotta love movie music! This one...

Awkward: (I have a lot of awesome, and just a few awkward. But that's good I guess!)

~ Unexpectedly seeing someone you 'know' from pictures and your friend's comments, and feeling like you should say something. Except, they have no idea who in the world you are, so you just walk on by lol.

~ This shot:

Jess told me to smell the flower and look at the flower. So I did. I can be so hilarious at times, and I laugh at my own jokes. :D

~ Losing an important phone number. I should've known better...guess I'll just wait for them to call me instead. *shrugs shoulders*

On the first day of summer...

...my true love gave to me... just kidding. :) But I am enjoying the delish weather we're having today! If I could capture just a bit of this wonderfully balmy breeze and share it with you, (not only would I have the coolest blog around!) but it's summery-fragrance and warm gentle caresses are totally refreshing, after all the rain.

Chicka dee dee dee

Birds are so beautiful. Their songs, their colors, everything. It does a soul good to go out on a summer's evening and listen to the birds calling.
Yesterday we found a Black-Capped Chickadee, not yet fully grown. It kept hanging around so I decided to snap some pictures of it. Such a cute little thing! Only about 2 in. small...

So sweet...

Their song is simple yet intricate...

Can anyone say 'dear little thing'? :)

A Full Month Of Fun Moments

 Yes it's happened again~ after I promised myself that it wouldn't. Almost a whole month has gone by since I posted one word on here. I look at the blogs that I read and adore and think to myself, "how do they do it, keeping up with blogging AND life?" Maybe that's why my blog posts are so special. They don't happen very often, but when they do they're like a burst of sunshine and brightness....just kidding lol.  Anyhow, my unannounced blogging break was refreshing, and my time away has been full of fun moments and inspiration. The drafts folder is piling up! :)

Lessons learned: 

It's ridiculous to wait for life to happen. Get out and get something done, and life will happen just fine I guarantee you. :)

Everything can change in the blink of an eye!

Coming to the conclusion that it's pretty dim and hopeless out there is just the darkness before sunrise. And then you feel a bit ashamed because God really was there all along, listening to your prayers, you just weren't patient enough to wait on Him.

Awesome and Funny Moments:

Awesome: Attending the local civil war reenactment. What a heap of fun and exhaustion! Sneak peek:

Funny: Finding a dirty pair of socks in my laptop bag from a while ago...Yeah, my laptop bag. *wonders exactly what I was thinking*

He is the most talkative and social little person I know!

Awesome: The beautiful smell of summer and rain. <3

Quite awkward and *funny looking*: Poking my eye on my camera strap, (yes, I'm that talented) while being pretty shutter happy at the civil war event. I stumbled around like a dork for like 5 min. feeling somewhat embarrassed because it appeared to everyone else that I was crying. I give you my permission to laugh. ;)

Awesome: We're leaving next Friday for a weekend trip! Overjoyed, to say the least!

Awesome: Happy because I'm back to blogging again, and because I may have some exciting news to share with y'all soon!
